Owning A Cricut

The first time I heard people talking about their "cricut," I thought they were discussing an insect and did not understand what it had to do with scrap booking. The day I first saw a Cricut Expression working, I knew that I should have one. The method the machine and cuts the proper fonts and patterns had me enthralled. I have found that there are many uses for my Cricut beyond just scrapbooking. My Cricut helped me prepare for Girls' Camp, projects, parades, creating cards, and vinyl lettering projects.

I wanted a sign for Girls' camp, so I called one of the teenage girls in my neighborhood. We got some vinyl. After a little coaching, this cut was able to young lady the lettering we place it on and required our camp flag. She was so happy she wanted one for herself. I was so pleased with how she did and the way the flag looked. I was really thankful for her help and my new machine that day.

I'm the one responsible for teacher appreciation at my little boy's school, which means I need to remember every teacher's birthday. On their birthdays, I give each teacher a little snack and a birthday card. I have a small budget from the school, but I still want the teachers to receive individual cards on their birthdays so I use my cricut to do the job which really saves me time and helps me come in under budget. And, I save enough money to give the teachers a bigger gift which really shows our appreciation.

There was another time when my little boy was the featured child at his school. Instead of fretting about his spotlight chart, I used my Cricut to effortlessly build a delightful and simple collage about him. Now I know with just an easy slide of a button, I can make the lettering any size that I need. There are some very nice accents that come with the machine that I use to decorate my projects what ever the size.. It's really great how this thing is engineered to help me save time.
